The Fellows’ Network is a group of instructional leaders convened by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD) to support district and community implementation of state learning standards in Mathematics, English Language Arts (ELA), Science, and the Early Learning Guidelines.

Apply to be a Fellow if you are interested in:

  • Leadership beyond the walls of your classroom
  • Connecting with colleagues from around the region
  • Collaborating to further statewide instructional initiatives
  • Contributing to a statewide network of motivated educators
  • Communicating about new ideas to peers in your educational setting
  • Committing to create equitable learning environments

Our group is committed to content learning, instructional leadership, and equity for every student in every learning environment.

To be considered… You must apply!  OSPI and AESD open the application process in the spring, and Fellows are chosen in the summer for the next school year.

To apply:

  1. Consider the commitments outlined on the OSPI website. Fellows groups meeting four times during the school year, along with an orientation for new Fellows.
  2. Seek administrative support. This is a three-year professional learning and leadership development program.
  3. Complete the application for new and returning fellows by August 31st!

If chosen…

Complete the Fellows’ Action Plan with your administrator’s support. You’ll meet with the Fellows’ Network four times per year, provide data to support our work, and use the instructional leadership skills you develop as a Fellow to widen the circle of learning.
