This free 8-hour course was available to Spanish-speaking parents and community members who have or work with youth ages 12 to 18. YMHFA teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to young people showing signs of a mental illness or in a crisis, and connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help care.

The next Spanish YMHFA training is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Desert Oasis High School in Othello. Those interested in participating should contact Karla Motta at 509.412.5039 or kmotta@esd123.org to register.

If your school district or community organization is interested in bringing Youth Mental Health First Aid training for Spanish-speaking adults in your community, please contact Monica Garcia at 509.405.0132 or mgarcia@esd123.org for more information.
